A hindi translation of a Gujarati song

Shant balcony pe wait karti
Rup ki rani dekhi thi
Maine ek mallika dekhi thi

Uske hath ki mehandi muskurati thi
Uski aankho ka kajal mukurata tha
Ek chhota sa upvan (garden) jaise
Mausam dekhke khilta tha

Uski muskaan me so-so (100-100) geet the
Uska chup rehna jaise sangeet tha
Use parchhai ki lagan thi
Use pagrav (pairon ki aahat) ke sath preet thi

Woh maujo (waves) ki tarah uchhalti thi
Aur pawan (wind) ki tarah jhumti thi
Koi muskurake saamne aaye to
Bahut pyar se sharmati thi

Use yauvan ki blessings thi
Uski sab problems dur thi
Uske pyar me sath dene ke liye
Khud kudrat bhi aatur (eager) thi

Salo baad aaj firse wahi balcony dekhta hoon
Waha geet nahi, sangeet nahi hai
Waha pagrav (pairon ki aahat) ke sath preet nahi hai
Waha sapno ka mahal nahi
Aur urmiyon (feelings) ka khel nahi hai

Bahut suna suna lagta hai
Bahut dard jaisa lagta hai

Wah na thi meri premika (lover)
Wah na thi meri mangetar (fiancee)
Maine to sirf shant balcony pe
wait karte dekhi thi
Kaun thi wah naam kya tha
Wo bhi mai kaha janta hoon

Firbhi dil ko aaj
Dard jaisa lagta hai
Bahut suna suna lagta hai

Author notes

This poem is my attempt to translate a Gujarati song into Hindi. Because of my poor Hindi, I've translated some of the words in English.

Wow... you've done a great job translating this poem in Hindi... I didn't have any problem to understand it... I've a special respect for people like you who try to write in their own languages... Rabindernath Tagore once said, if you want to abolish a sect, take away their language form them...
all the best with your future endeavours...

    Amazing

    Dear Haresh
Your translation is extremely wonderful. May you emerge as the greatest love poet of the century. Before I proceed I have a few meanings of English words in Hindi to incorporate in the poem.
    Blessings-Aashirwad
    Balcony- Atari
    Problems- Musibaton se door thi
Majestic your creation goes. Keep it up and I wish that one day you may get successful in creating your own like this. Kudos to you.
