A lone tear falls off her face
While her partner screams in rage
Bruised and beaten she is all alone
He leaves her drowning in her own blood
Her blank eyes, glossy, watch him exit the room
Leaving her there to pick up all the pieces
She is all alone
The violence cannot go on forever
She needs to get out of this mess
Scared, afraid, what if things get worse?
Is this truly what she deserves?
Is this the best she’ll ever get?
Being with him is not worth the pain
Its time to end this

Wow... This is such a strong and powerful write. Not many people in abusive relationships can get up the courage to leave, yet this poem portrays that some out there can and will. Wonderful write. Keep it up and thanks for sharing

Thank you for entering my contest. This poem was very emotional and incredible. My heart goes out to anyone who has suffered abuse, as nobody deserves it. The line "Is this the best she’ll ever get?" truly breaks my heart. I've wondered this thought over and over through countless boys and it takes a lot of courage and confidence to stand up and say you deserve better, but it shouldnt. I enjoyed how the line "she is all alone" and "its time to end this" are noticably shorter. I feel it emphasizes thoses lines, and they feel like the "facts" and "realities" of the poems.
Excellent write and good luck. -
yeah, hey, this really is a good poem, but it can't be in the contest of Pretty Little Rag Doll. the judge can't read abuse poems, and obviously, this is one. So, for the sake of all the contestants, please remove this from the contenst. Please and thank you.
