Lost in oblivion
Careening into the ever-tightening walls of my existence
Despair holds my heart
Can you hear it beating in the midst of all this tyranny?
It's squeezed tighter in a vice-like grip
Until all fades to black
My eyes open; the sun is shining
A brilliant yellow orb of glowing warmth
Relief washes over me
Releasing me from my dispassionate misgivings
Basking me in the warmth of loving light
And on this sunny day
I am finally warm
No longer chilled by darkness
No longer hindered by fears
For I am one with the light
Author notes
Chaos and darkness overcome by the light...

It's so warm and hopeful, there are words of strength and courage in the face of the chaos and darkness, your words are calm and have a peace among them.
Thank you for entering.
