Untitled

A gull calls out overhead.
I dig my toes deeper into the sand.
The sun warms my skin like a lover long forgotten by my bed.
The waves crash upon the shore, moving me to tears, like a well rehearsed band.

"I could die here." I think to myself.
White foam tests its boundaries and inches closer to my toes.
Here, at my sanctuary, I feel alive instead of like some unused object collecting dust on a lonely shelf.
I watch a sail boat making a casual pace toward the horizon and wish that I was on to to end up wherever it goes.

"It;s peaceful here." The wind loves to whisper.
Lazy days watching that glowing orb drift across the sky.
The expanse of blue water stretches out in front of me, beckoning with each shimmer.
"I can't Stay however much I want to hide." I say out loud and start to cry.

Author notes

I wrote this awhile back. I just can't think of a title for the damn thing.
I promise I'll post new stuff soon!
