My Lost Love

For you, I'd give anything,
Even just to hear your voice.
You left me there, but it wasn't your fault.
Dying so young just wasn't your choice.

My lost love, my first love,
You were my one and only.
When I was with you, my world was whole.
Now without you, I'm lonely.

My sweet, I miss you so,
I will never ever let you go.
How you died, well everyone knows,
I just wish it didn't happen.

Young lost love. Literally lost. This happened to me, but I don't want to get into details.

    Aww..

    I can relate to this.
    And I'm not just saying that.
    I lost my first love to cancer. He was only 16..
    This poem has brought tears to my eyes.
    It's so beautifuly tragic. Heartbreaking.
    And I like how you don't go into detail, but just say the things that people need to know to understand this poem.
    Short and sweet, just the way I like poems.
