Memories of Mother

When I see the red rose
I think about my mom
that it was her favorite flower.

She was so beautiful
inside and outside.

When I see the butterfly
I think about my mom
that she enjoyed her short life.

She cast her cares to God
in her prayer.

When I see the quilted blanket
that my mom given me
before she died
that she had a talent.

Sewing, crocheting, and knitting
She was a great cook.

When I look at the pictures
of my mom.
I think about the good memories
that I've had with her.

Her legacy was for us to keep trusting
in God in all we do.

When I see the pink shirt
that was my mom's favorite color
so she dressed me in pink.

She made the tulip custom
for me and my brother.

When I hear the songs
“Jewel,” and “What A Day That Will Be”,
that was my mom's favorite songs.

She was a good Christian example
She loved the Lord.

This is a fitting tribute to a wonderful, warm and selfless mother who offered her deepest love to children who became her own. I think the tribute also applies to the poet who has expressed such profound love for her adoptive mom - after all, the emotion in this testimony clearly conveys that the mother did a fine job of bringing up sensitive, caring children into adulthood. Hugs Tony x

    Beautiful

Your mother was a wonderful Christian mother and example to you I read. Oh my grandma was like that to me. I felt love and fond memories you have of your mother. So beautiful she loved pink and the rose reminds you of her. The title is perfect for it is about your mother then the first line, when I see a red rose brings about all these fond memories for you and that she loved the Lord. I'm sure your mom is also looking upon you with great unconditional love as you have for her. Beautiful write. Thank you for sharing with me.

Reading this poem brought to mind how I felt when my mum passed on...part of me was sad, another part angry..but a kind person told me" You do not lose a parent, they sit on God's right hand showing him how to take care of you " This was a beautiful tribute to your mum, she is proud of you, I know

This made my eyes well with tears. I am so glad that you have such lovely memories of your mother. Never lose those precious thoughts, pictures and moments with her. It's so nice that you have many lovely things to remember her by. My mother is gone now also. It has been hard without her, but like you, I have many beautiful, wonderful memories, as well as sad ones. I try to hold onto all of the positive things though. Her paintings and journals are both lovely legacies that I have from her.

Wow, we have a lot in common! We both adore cats, and our moms' are with God now.

    Take Care,

    Karen
