I sigh as I think of you, sitting all alone.
Waiting and listening for a ring from the phone.
Knowing I Love you but that you love another.
Chewing on my lip, my heart all aflutter.
Wishing that somehow, your attention turned to me.
I imagine what our life together could surely be.
Can't you feel the connection between you and I.
I sit back waiting, and again slowly sigh.
My mind on you always though your so far away.
I just live for the moment, and make it through the day.
My nights filled with loneliness and yearning for you.
My days filled with endless wanting it's true.
I have to get over this, it's driving me mad.
Seeing you with another makes me so sad.
So I put pen to paper to let my feelings all out.
You dont know what it costs me to not scream and shout.
I sigh as I think of you sitting all alone.
Waiting and listening for a ring from the phone.

This is an incredible write. Can pertain to so many who sit and wait ...then have to let go. Distance isnt always the enemy but isnt always a friend. Well written

Your musing is very good, rhyming excellant, content really good, and I think most of us can,in some way or another, relate to those feelings.
Good luck in the contest...Sue
