His hand still touches the world today.
His love the same as ages ago
still guides our steps thru wilderness
where parching winds have a mind to blow.
We’re pilgrims like the Israelites
traveling toward the Promised Land.
We drink from the ever flowing fount
and eat the manna from His own hand.
He tramples the briars in perilous paths,
destroys the beasts that hide by the way,
and in His hand He holds a light
which changes darkness into bright day.
Leading us now as in the past
His love is through all eternity.
The same hand that led the Israelites
is the hand that is tending me.
