In an apartment of the Baker Street,
A Turkish girl waited for her Turkish boy.
Her Turkish boy couldn't come,
because at night the apartment was his out of bounds.
It was a part of a university's dorm,
Only girls could enter in the night hours.
The Turkish boy walked in the Baker Street for sometimes,
Then he got the idea of all times.
The boy bought a veil,
And covered himself by the veil.
Then the veil did what it should not have done,
It let the lover to enter and make love with his dame.
The veil of holiness,
Became the veil of love.
Author notes
This poem is based on a true story, which I heard. However it is a blend of fact and fiction. This poem is about a Turkish couple.I love Turkey and I hope that no Turkish citizen will take this poem offensive.
