I am surrounded by a myriad of emotions
sadness gripping beyond any reach
friends and family seem to be spiteful
none to care, none to share joys or sorrows
everyone is out to torture and grieve
these egocentric, self important people
inflicting pain with the deepest cut of all
no second thought so as to what's right and what's wrong
i am simply supposed to digest all that i feel, i experience
and appear to be bright and happy, no matter what i may suffer
