A Psalm of Devotion to My Lord

At Your feet is where I desire to be
My Divine and Sovereign King,
For You are mighty and to be praised;
And so this heartfelt psalm I bring,

To the Ancient of Days, whom I magnify
I pledge my faithful unfaltering love
As I longingly gaze and wait for the day
When I join You in the Heavens above

Oh, praise Him all who hath tongue and speak
With fervent clamor let your voices peak
And for those of you unable to converse,
Raise your hands to the Lord of the Universe!

Give praise to He who waits on His bride,
Take your joy to the streets and do not hide!
For soon the trumpet call will sound
And we, His church, will be Heaven bound!

Oh, how I sincerely long to see Your face
Almighty Master of Time and Space,
For You are Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End
And this song of praise, to Your throne I send.

At Your feet is where I desire to be
My Divine and Sovereign King,
For You are mighty and to be praised;
And so this heartfelt psalm I bring.

    Absolutely Beautiful!

    This is one of the best poems that I have ever read on one persons devotion to their LORD. I especially loved the part where you said, "And to those of you unable to converse, Raise your hands to the Lord of the Universe!" No matter what, we all can praise the LORD. Your gold trophy is well deserved. Keep up the writing, your love for God is evident and a joy to the reader. God Bless. Your friend in Poetry, Mysty Rain

    A very strong and moving piece of praise full of spirit. Loved 'At Your feet is where I desire to be
    My Divine and Sovereign King,
    For You are mighty and to be praised;
    And so this heartfelt psalm I bring.'
    'Give praise to He who waits on His bride,
    Take your joy to the streets and do not hide!
    For soon the trumpet call will sound
    And we, His church, will be Heaven bound'Thank you for entering the competition. God bless.

    An exemplary poem on Jesus beautifully and respectfully written. Your rhymes are impeccable You use words like Almighty Master, Lord of the Universe etc. this is a honorable tribute from the heart!! At the end you say "and so this hertfelt psalm I bring" a perfect line to end your gracious piece. Mat. 24:36 assures us of His return but unknown the hour and day but the second coming is always essential in consciousness. Thank you xx
