SEDOKA POETRY

Japanese Form Poetry
Originally was sung as a song;
also written as a note between two people,
Today it has contemporary form by a single writer,
with two different points of view on the same subject

This type of poem is made up of two Tercet stanzas of unrhymed lines.
Each is a Katauta consisting of 5, 7, 7
Both stanzas deal with the same subject
but do not address it from the same view points.
The Sedoka contains 38 syllables (5/7/7 , 5/7/7).

    I love to read poetry that tantalizes the senses as this one does. You are definitely in tune with nature's beauty here, Arkbear.
