Around the world she goes
Traveling from one place to the other
Home to home
Family to family
Scratches and bruises are visible,
And she cries when no one's around
Life on the road
Had been so cruel,
Life in a home,
Was even worse
Beaten and scarred,
were her memories.
Open and bleeding were her wounds.
Comas and death ran in her family.
To soft a heart,
For a girl like her.
For all she's been through,
Can take a toll on this young girl's thoughts.
House to house
School to school.
Won't anyone love her?
State to county
County to town
Town to country.
She finally finds a home.
Far and wide she's gone,
To find a family like mine.
She's finally found,
That love really exists.
For it's not just the person,
It's really their heart.

This is a very thought provoking poem, it reaches the heart and makes one realise just how fortunate we are having had a wonderful family unit and a stable background where love has been nurtured by all family members. My heart goes out to anyone who finds themselves in the situation you portray here in your poem... yet the fact is, this is a real life situation for so many young ones.
A very good title for this particular poem, you have touched on many areas that are a part of life for someone in this situation, ie; having to move from one place to another often... having to move school often, which can be very difficult for someone as they have to try and make friends with other people all over again and again, often having to leave a good friend behind, all this has an ongoing effect on the stability of life.
That someone in this situation eventually finds a loving home and a stable life to live would be a dream come true... my wish is that all in this situation should find that stability.
