I took your picture from the wall and through it down the hall.
I always wanted a love that could stay with me until the end, but I now know that it was all pretend.
This hatred I fell into, like a curse upon my grave.
I tried to protect you... and tried to be brave.
But you took my heart from my chest and put my feelings toward you to the test.

Did I fail??

...if I didn't... Why did you tear me to shreds?
This is the one thing in my life I've always had to dread.
