I burned the pictures,
but still I saw you.
I burned the letters,
but still I write you.
I burned the poems,
but still I heard you
and I can't do it anymore.
It’s been too long
and still I love you.
Its been too long
and I can't burn
what I can not see.
I'd burn your house down
but that’s called arsine
and for that I'd be locked away.
I'd burn you but murders illegal
so I'll burn the next best thing.
I'll burn myself
for I can't burn you
and I've burned everything else.
The words, the picture,
the things you gave,
and still I love you
but you can't burn
what you can not see.
So I'll burn the last thing
the thing that holds that love
so maybe it'll go away
since it won't let me move on.

wow.. very creative! i really liked this! the only thing i didn't like was the font color. either change that or make the background black.. anyway, this is great! i've thought about this quote ever since i've heard the song and i've never really been able to make sense of it. you did a great job of explaining the quote here! well written too!
thanks for entering and good luck!
