Aww this is gorgeous. I love how you've presented this, if only presentation had mattered in this contest.

Oh, this is a delight. I agree with the others that this could have different meanings, but I love the imagery, especially the breeze, that 'spring breeze' flipping through the pages. Lovely, good luck in the contest and all the best!

Jo, this is perfect! Really...of all the haiku I've read, this goes towards the very top of my all-time favorites by AP poets. The multiple meanings are just awesome. Oh, and congratulations on not having to do any editing! It really is a good feeling, isn't it?

I'll be thinking of this the next time I'm outside with a book of poetry, with the wind blowing my hair in front of my eyes so that I can't read the pages.

    Good luck and best wishes,
    ~J.

    Refreshing

It is blazing summer here in India now and a whiff of spring breeze that you sent this way is more than welcome.
    Pleasant and clear images...well-done!

I really like this haiku. I think that Alan hit it right on the head when he commented about the different ways you can interpret this haiku. Having mutiple meanings is the magic of the haiku that first drew mw to this form.

Egads...I think it's the very first time I've not needed to edit an entry to any one series of these contests--REALLY! It's a nice feeling, though I'm not hardly used to it! LOL

      Thanks for your comments, Polly!

Simple and clean, giving a perfect image for the reader to reflect upon. Such as:

You - sitting outside in sunshine looking through haiku in a cool breeze with a lemonade (or is that a beer?)

A haiku book left on a table, each page being turned by the breeze.

Or the breeze personified, just looking to see what has been written about it.

    Much applause

    Alan

Ummm, it was a beer--How'd you guess? You should've been out there in the yard just to see me chasing down those haiku-scraps that flew out of my notebook.

Thank you so much for your comments...As always, I truly appreciate.

This is a very pretty Haiku. The mention of pages of Haiku is very nice.

Thank you, Harrisham! the insertion of "haiku" in place of "my book" was a last minute idea, but it felt less heavy and to work better that way.

      I really appreciate your comments.
