Gravity

First there was one
Alone in the corner.
Then others came
To make a stack.
We stretched high
Daring to touch the ceiling.
Then we felt the pull
The weight too great
We tipped and some
Met their fate.
What once was tall
Is now a reck.
We wish that someone
Would kindly check
To see if this room was
All in order
And set us right
Along the wall.
Until then we all shall stay
To tell the story of our fall.

I think this was quite deserving of a golden cup. The imagery is awesome and goes so well with the picture. Thanks for posting it.

I love the last two lines, they really really make this poem work, they made me smile, as did the story you told of the picture. Great poem!
