Poets and Poems

Poems can be about whatever you want them to be
They can be fantasy or about something true
You're the writer they come from you
They don't have to be happy they can be sad
Some poems are good some poems are bad

They don't always have to rhyme
You can mix's and match
Some can be funny and mysteries
Some can be insane or serious
They can be dark with twist and bends
Or gild straight on to the end

They can be short or long
Nothing you write is ever wrong
If it comes from your heart
For that's where all your emotions starts
It's very rarely someone take the leap
Cause the things a poet writes down
Are the things we hold deep

We rarely open up so all can see
Were scared at what their reactions will be
I write down how I really feel
Because this is the only way I know how to deal
With everything that happens in my life
I turn to the paper not the knife
You know what you write is true
When you read it back and it touches you
The only thing a poem needs to be is YOUR OWN
