I gasp for air

I gasp for air to salvage myself a moment
a scene
a scent
I breathe it in deep,
so it gets into my blood stream
to mix with my DNA
to encode itself on me
in me
through me
so that someday my children will live for ocean spray
and soul moving winds
just because they feel it somewhere,
in their blood
in their bodies
in their bones

Let me paint you a picture,
a splattering of colors and feelings through your brain
I want you to see a place and time
so steadily perfect
you can soak in it’s emotion through your eyes
take it in,
the sea breathes salty on you
the water is so deep and blue and stormy
The sky is churning,
and it bleeds illustrious colors that have no name
Warm wind licks at your ankles and presses your back,
and the rushing resonance masks the hurling of the waves
This is exhilaration in a animated landscape.
I let myself become it
when the day is tinged
it is a time of day that is almost,
Almost the time
when the sun is almost setting.

I gasp for air
because I want it to change me,
so I can emit some of what it is
what feeling it imparts,
I want to breathe misty and salty
like the sea

    COngrats!
I enjoyed the read. I like how you embodied the image within your being, but just breathing, and being.
Thus is life if we all take the time to slow down be and breathe.
    Wise being are you. Beautiful..
