Natures Neighbor

Wild pals speak,
Shewolfnative tells of messages
whistled, howled, flown earth-tone,
facial expressive questions
my own nuttiness.

From Island breeze,
one side tanned blue, reads
natures lake-shore neighbor
Shared paths walked,

with us all.

Forest floors, white capped oceans,
with words written
Soar Heavenward.

Upon buttered bee wings,
she teases our minds
Save our garden Eden
Flowers loom, moon chilled nights,

...and

With ending and beginning
we hope to meet one day,
on a warm summers eve lakeside
to share poetic voiced insight.

Author notes

Only that this poem would have been like knitting a sweater. That is if I knew how to knit. Written with care and honor for a Great Poetess, Shewolfnative.

That's one meeting I'd like to attend myself, Poet. I'd give anything to be able to look into my Sister's eyes & hear her voice as she stands in front of me (we have spoken on the phone, though). This is a lovely, whimsical piece; she will enjoy it thoroughly, I know. We often send IM's back & forth just to make each other laugh until we weep. Thank you for writing this with such caring & for entering the contest. Good luck, Poet. Wanda
