Whether life has meaning behind our fear.
Why does mankind ask why God is unjust?
What is the purpose of killing in blood lust?
Life today is worth less than future life bought,
Thus the reason for our fear of death unsought.
Dreams exist in our minds from a pre-set grand design,
Reflecting life on earth as our creator has defined.
He implanted innate ideas within our finite mind,
We understand with distinct perception our humankind;
Freewill allows us to take our stand, to make a choice,
And freedom to offer the world our heuristic voice.
Yet, they will tell us that God does not exist;
If this is so, why do my innate dreams persist?
If no Creator, how is it that we on Earth are here?
Paradoxally, our programmed mind is now unclear...
Philosophers see a dismal, non-existent regime;
Why the deviation from one most Supreme?
God is who He is, and we are all that we seem,
I know the difference between reality and a dream...
Author notes
"People, plagued by the question of whether life has
any meaning at all, flock to therapists. This always
involves the search for our values and purposes."

I love this poem and the flow to it. It was easy to read and grasp what was being said. Wonderful.

And yet free will is but a pretty word. No meaning if it stands in this society. Bound by infinite and uncountable pleasures we are trapped in an illusion of reality. To prove that this realm of suffering is truer than the realm of light and purity.
My what large egos we have. "This needs to be satisfied"
Words that echoes on the world mind (humanity). This was a only a generalization though.
I had fun reading your thoughts through poetry. Wise words indeed. Keep on writing!

And in the morn' he shall rise, his mind, awakened by powered statements of justified words.
Moody Blues lyrics
Album: On The Threshold of A Dream [1969]
'In The Beginning'
(Graeme Edge)
First Man: I think, I think I am, I think.
Establishment: Of course you are my bright little star.
I've miles
And miles
Of files
Pretty files of your forefather's fruit
And now to suit our
Great computer
You're magnetic ink.
First Man: I'm more than that, I know I am, at least, I think I must be.
Inner Man: There you go, man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles
And piles
Of trials
With smiles
It riles them to believe
That you perceive
The web they weave
And keep on thinking free.
you made me sit up Sis, Thank you.
the words above, are reality to me, no dream, reality, I think.........
thank you.

Thank YOU!
Mike, You always were my inspiration here on AP; one of the first visible poets I found on this site, and one reason I joined in the first place. I'm really glad you enjoyed this poem; but more than that, I'm glad these words seemed to awaken your mind, at least on paper... LOL. Thank you for your hard-won points with your applause and sincere comments here. I look forward to the possibility of working with you in the future on a joint contest!!! Peace and love abounds, Cyn

Good
Are we actually here, or just an illusion? If an illusion, whose illusion?

Ah I love the thought process in this, you have been peeking into my mind and standing on my soapbox haven't you?
Mankind has a choice to make, ignorance is not an excuse. Well done with this one. Love, C
