Parable In Burning Ice

For you and me I tell a story
To sooth and make worth your while
I know this world is falling away
But I promise I'll make it better some day

So the tale goes, man and butterfly
In the darkest of ice storm
Snow miles and miles high
To find a new home they tread

In the darkness of the night
The journey slows to a halt
And the man was unable to move a foot
His legs frozen and, dead

Dragging for life with a butterfly
To a new spring place far, far away
Both of them met there death
In the ices of the cycotus

Could this be the only fate for man?
To freeze in a lake of Satan's tears
His wings beat trying to escape
This effort futile and torturous

This is all I see the cycotus is all we have
Betrayal to the ninth ring of the pit
Stories are not always as they seem
That butterfly a symbol of fragile bonds

None the less I am here to finish it all
To make a new plain a new age of life
Were we all live in one huge spring
I your messiah am here to save you from cycotus

But it is me you crucify
And I will leave you be
To come again you see
Bringing fire and brimstone

This is not by my will but yours
Punishing all I see unfit
All that I know that is unrighteousness
Will freeze in my flame
