Hugh Wyles Poet

Missing image
Hugh Wyles Poet

How much I admire this man that’s called Hugh
Unbeatable with his Opera, History and Epics
Gives love to all his faves as best he can
Hurts when he knows that they are hurting too.

Wit and charm and love of Boobs is his forte
Yes, he can be tough on us sometimes
Likes to teach us well the rhythms and rhymes
Edna his Lady love there are no doubts
Sometimes he can be rather naughty.

Published Poet three times he now can claim
Of Maori legends and other poems as well
Especially his Sonnet poems he writes;
Thankyou my friend - we love you just the same."

Hmmm... I wonder... Yep, it's our good King Hugh of whom you speak so fondly
This is really a well written Acrostic, Jen. Hugh is all you say and more.

    Good luck in the contest

''Sometimes he can be rather naughty.''

That is putting it lightly, lol We all like Hugh, or else we wouldn't be in his group. Hey, I like his list of Yem sonnets best.

I never read this, I must have been in one of my moods back then, lol.

    kind affection

And it is all true, too. This is a fine acrostic for a gentleman of great presence, soul and intelligence. I'm happy you entered this in the current contest, as I did not see it when it was new. Best of luck!

    Great dedication

Dear Jen, I don't know how I came to miss this poem the first time you posted it, maybe I was away.
You describe him well, he is one of a kind that really does love his favourites and will help them whenever he can.
Lovely Sonnet and I should be able to applaud.
    Love AJ

    Hi Jen,

Your poem captures the King in all his glory, his tough and his softer side, too! There are so many interesting things we all could write about Hugh!

Very nicely done! Good Luck in this contest!

    Dear Jenelda, PERKCAO,

I see the best option you've chosen.....
Though in Sydney your pipes are not frozen
any entry 'bout tubes with large lactating b..bs
might have suffered effects of erosion.

I am glad, when you mentioned the King,
you let no naughty thoughts to take wing
and you did not divulge the extent of the bulge
which is caused by the size of his thing.

For such knowledge is privately yours
    from experience gained behind doors
that are always kept closed so you've never disclosed
what you've seen when he takes off his drawers.

Your behaviour at each private session
we regard with the utmost discretion.

Thankyou for posting this acrostic tribute to my poetry again.
I never tire of reading it.
Applause, love and hugs, and good luck in the voting XXX Hugh (R.)
AWWW! The mean system won't let me applaud a prewrite I had previously applauded. BUMMER!

    Dear Jenelda,

Although, as you are aware, I do not usually comment on contest pooems, I feel compelled in all humility, to make an exception and break my rule for this beautifully expressed acrostic tribute.
I can only say thankyou, I am overawed and I am going to enshrine it in my Author's page. Thankyou for the friendship and love which prompted you to write it.
Applause, love and hugs, and best wishes in this contest, XXX Hugh.

    A great Tribute

Yes I cannot fault this Jen. Hugh is a man amongst men and a poet amongst poets. You said it so well. I am sure he will be delighted and humbled by the tribute.
