Mama, daddy,
can't you see,
that your drugs
hurt the whole family?
You're too busy,
smoking weed,
to notice my wrists,
see them bleed?
I pop ten pills,
down a glass,
slit my wrist,
and pass out on my ass.
Did you know that,
gone is my innocence?
much to my grievance.
Won't you stop now?
Have I paid my penance?
Mama, daddy,
I hope it was worth it,
I'm dead to you now.
And, yes, you deserve it.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, how sad~ Some parents don't care or watch their kids... Then they wonder why bad things happen... Just use your parents as examples of what to do~ or NOT to do~ and be a better parent!

Wow, I really liked this piece. It was full of such sadness and pain. However, you did not put what was asked in your notes, but I will let it pass if you add it. It would be a shame to have to DQ this piece, because I do like it. Thanks for entering and best of luck to you.

beautiful lamentation.
ringing with angst. screaming with sorrow.
"and, yes, you deserve it." --hiss. such venom.
"you're too busy,
smoking weed,
to notice my wrists,
see them bleed?" --my god. i love that line. i see myself within the lines.
honest and relatable.
toxic and sinister.
cheers, doll.
you've got a winner.
Peace && Blesses
