Life as we know it
is an insane hallucination,
in reality.
We, the "normal" ones
are bound up in strait jackets,
wound down with medications
and every waking second we percieve
this "normailty."
Oh, if we only knew that in
all actuality,
we are schooled to be
Hitlers,
Bundys,
Dahmers,
and that simple eccentricity
is not enough?
We are clueless to the fact that,
IN FACT,
we are the head cases,
the apologetic shake of the head,
and the ones that we keep locked up
in padded cells
are our doctors and orderlies,
with their blood-stained white-coats,
and mad man grins,
sharp teeth glinting,
their overt obscenities
fading into the everyday.
But what is normality, actuality, REALITY, anyway?

An odd thought I'm having lately.
I'm not sure is this is an actual illness, just a sort of "what if?" thought. The possibility of your reality being a delusion and what you think of as "normal" being insane, and you yourself imagining your entire life from inside the walls of an asylum.

I will never understand why people dwell on "What is normal".
Normal is plain and unnoticed, simple as that.

I agree with you on this one actually what is sanity and normality? I like the way you describe the mad ones as the ones who institute the 'clincically' mad people, like doctors and that those with those problems are actually the normal ones after all. Should base a psychological thriller I think. Great brainwave though.

I have to agree with this one we are afriad of the unknown so if in this world you seem in the least bit different they banish the person. when really normalciy and reality collide bcause normal is the opinon in someones mind.

F-m-F, this is the deep stuff of circular thought that cannot, and probably should not, ever get answers to the questions you pose and foster in others. You do not want normal for you (that is clear to me, and I'm grateful you don't). I really like the way you can turn up the heat for our minds -- and still leave us with some form of truth from your musings.

In actuality, Society belives that our mindsets are only acceptable if they bring betterment to the people. But many overlook the fact that productivity comes with a price: just look at revolutionarys like Che Guevara. And that's my two cents.
