It's a good tribute to a friend, but the rhyming seems kind of forced, and while this poem could have such a deep meaning, it only skimmed the surface. You could have done so much more with this. :/ -

Some people are only in our lives for a short period before they move elsewhere, but they help us so. A nice way to say thanks to someone for helping you along the way. Easy to read and understand what you are saying in these lines.
