Upon the cross, He was nailed,
darkness consumed the sky.
Crucified, He was impaled,
for our sins He would die.
For you and me upon the tree,
excruciating pain.
God promised Him a miracle,
to rise and live again.
Give Him glory, is all God asks,
throughout your daily life.
Helping you with everyday tasks,
eases burdens and strife.
My lost soul He returned to me,
unbroken and brand new.
Miracles I began to see,
like the mustard seed He grew.
Once in your heart, He never leaves,
call His name, He is there.
He protects, when evil cleaves,
your troubles disappear.
I must be patient as I pray,
sometimes it takes a while.
For soon the sun will come my way,
to show me how to smile.
