Silence wrapping itself around me
Fear twisting itself inside me
The chain of shining silver droplets
Slipping between my trembling fingertips
My rosary
Each tiny drop a memory
A precious time which only we can see
Together
And as they slip, I count them down
A wish, a prayer for every bead
The season of failure is nigh
I sense its presence creeping near
If I be the shadow’s victim
Would you shine your light to redeem me
Would the bond of love withstand
The weight of all my wrongs
If I be the one to stumble
Would you turn and walk away
Or would you stop and dress my wounds
~Gentle Samaritan~
The season of new birth is here
I fear the signs of nature
If I be the one with child
Would you stay and comfort me
Would you stay here by my side
And nurture the seed you planted
If I be the one to suffer
Would you leave me drowning in tears
Or would you share this agony
~Caring Father~
The season of temptation’s here
I see the many fruits of gloom
If I be the one fall
Would you lift me up once more
Would the link which holds us close
Let you set me back on my feet again
If I be the one Satan grasps
Would you reject me from your arms
Or help me banish the demons within
~Holy Saviour~
Weak, I am inside my heart
I need your guiding light
You are the only one who can
Give me strength to face the truth
The doubt within my soul
Hold me close and kiss my brow
Reassure my trembling self
For I’m in need of your faith now
Speak my name and speak your heart
Lead me through this nightmare
Into the warmth of your love
I pray you’ll never leave me here
Cold, alone, lost in fear
~For if you be the one to cut me~
~I will bleed forever~

Incredible!
You were not kididng in your Author's Note then again you rarily joke around with that... Sweet Sam straight up on this subject this is one of the deepest poems I have ever read and length is not the issue its how depe you eally drawn yourself into this poem and its amazing! you really opened up my eyes on this poem and I am amazed at what I read. Any ways as I was saying I really don't know what to say about this... I find this poem incredibley deep and very interesting as well... From the stan point of view it seems like you were struggling to cope in a deep dark aspect of your life and you were lonely vulnerable and afriad and now you are asking for God up in Heaven to come to yuor rescue. really quite an ingenius poem. Excellent work Sweet Sam! I relinquish all my points for this comment but you earned 3 applauses which is extremely rare from me
Forever your friend for life, Paul
