“ A true friend sticks closer than one’s nearest kin ! Proverbs 18:24
W. Peter Sanci May 17 / 2007
My friends, I want to talk to you today about this Proverb, if I may.
I have this little book of famous sayings, and when
I opened it, this verse popped out at me today.
I think it is telling us quite a bit about ourselves.
A true friend will stick by us through thick and thin.
They will never desert us no matter how tough the
going may get.
And sometimes it gets pretty tough, we all know that.
But sometimes are friends see us differently than our
families.
They see us more objectively, with all of our faults.
Our relatives tend to look at us and miss our little imperfections.
Because they love us so much, they don’t see us for
What we really are, thank God for that, eh.
A good, good friend of mine once said, “ Peter,
You’re friends you make for life, you’re family
you’re stuck with for life. ”
I think he was right on don’t you.
So the next time you’re wondering whose most
important in this life, friends,anyway.

Seems to end abruptly. Perhaps you didn't copy in the entire poem?
