If only the sunflowers went on forever, and the sky was always blue
But really Earth is crumbling and it is all because of you.
If only 'you' were simply 'you', not 'him' and 'me' and 'she'
But really 'you' is everyone; it isn't 'you' but 'we'.
If only clouds were sparse and clean and silky in the sky
But really clouds are fumes of gas and no one wonders why.
If only 'you' knew of the harm that 'you' caused while you poisoned the seas and the lakes
But really 'you' know nothing and dead fish are without wakes.
If only the corn grew fertile as weeds and the birds could still live with the bees
But really the farmers are agricultural bombers, yet still 'you' always do as 'you' please.
Author notes
I really hate the style. But I couldn't get away with not doing it. I managed to assuage my annoyance by doing rhyming couplets, which was fun. Ish.

This is so sweet & wow, I can't believe you have been gone for over a year now. I have missed seeing you around and hope poems abound (somewhere.)
