Kiera, the breath of life
whispering her presence
in movements of crystallized silence
her hands tracing the world
with newborn perceptions
and I inhale her spirit
formed from summers of love
laying frostily dormant inside me
she is beauty from pain
and I lay with her to become her shadow
basking in the glory of birth
wrapped tightly in the infancy of metaphor

OMG!! Bunny--MAJOR tears in my eyes. This is phenomenal. You have captured the beauty of her perfection and the light (and healing) that a child can bring. I especially adored, "I lay with her to become her shadow"--oh that was brilliance!
thanks so much for sharing this!
