Baby's face is all scratched up,
The toddler's lip is fat,
So this would be the week, of course,
Our family portrait's sat!

Had more than one family portrait where our timing seemed 'off'! Yet over time, it's the goofy ones I like the best.

This is so cute! I love it! That's exactly how my family is. Everytime we had family pictures, something happened and cause us to not look our best. Those kinds of pictures always have stories behind them. That's why I love them so much! I like how short and to the point it is. Makes it all the funnier! Great one!

Entertaining and humorous to boot. I must come along in thoughts here with you, It's not those picture perfect moments for me, either, that's so special to me now, it's like you say, the off color, off ones. They linger the longest, too.

you know how long its been since our family has had a family portrait? if our timing was "off" we would just not go, which is dumb. anyway, good poem with a lot of real humor in this. i'm sure there are others that can relate... (just try it with a golden retriever and chihuahua with a step mom that just has to have it perfect. it takes forever)
