[ things i'm sick of! ]

things i'm sick of!

i'm sick of goin' to the library only to find that all the smart people are somewhere else, and the the only people there are the dumb blacks who like to raise hell about sex while i'm trying to let go and appreciate the beauty of someone's incredible poetry.

i'm sick of knowin' that whether the republicans or democrats win, the rich are gonna win in the end.  i'm real fuckin' sick of that!

i'm sick of rap!  i'm sick of walkin' down chapel street in new haven, ct., and hearin' nothin' but, "nigga-this," and "nigga-that."  and i'm sick of the fact that I can't say the word or they call me a racist!  but they can say it - with all the hate in the world - but if I say it, i'm a racist.

i'm sick of not being able to describe someone because the words are illegal.

i'm sick of the fact that love is dead in this country.

i never met him, but i really miss Bobby Kennedy.  i just do.

i'm sick of the fact that this country has become nothing more than a great big business where right and wrong are dead, nobody cares more about the truth than they care about selling it, and i'm sick of the fact that we always seem to kill the best and the brightest we own.  they love us so we kill them.  sick!

i'm sick of rarely being happy, and feeling that on those occassions when i am, everything can be taken away in an instant.

i'm sick of god caring more about me than almost everybody.

i'm sick of america

Well this seems more like a rant then a poem or story. I think that the rants are how most people do feel everyday. A change does need to happen in America with somethings. I just hope that when the change happens that it's good and not bad.

wow...I'm flabbergausted! I don't even know what to say...that was a powerful piece...I'm black and I very much know what it's like. I think Your sterotyping just a little but I like your viewpoint...have you ever been friends with someone who is black? Just curious...
