Yellow

Spend a day
being yellow,
lemony

Like the potentilla,
the daylily;
be the goldenrod
of good fortune.

Feel free to warble,
sing like a meadowlark
atop a fence post.

Flitter
like a sulfur butterfly
in a clover field.

A STUNNING PIECE ALLAMANDA, with such a meaningful message... soothing warm imagery. Much to ponder in this fine expression of poetry.Well done allamanda... thankyou for sharing.

I think this was really pretty. Pretty is the word that springs to mind. And very soulful. I like the butterfly idea. This poem has a very sing-song flow to it. I like it!

I liked this a lot..the flow was good. I was just wondering if there was someway you could replace the two being's...EX :
    Spend a day
    being yellow,
    being lemony
    = Being Yellow, and
    Lemony
??? Though if you do change it might take away from the poem.
Anyway, great job and the best of luck in the contest!
