The way the kids laugh,
The stupid things they do.
The smell of the rain,
Everything reminds me of you.
The way the school bell rings,
The cute love hearts in my books.
The numbers on my maths pages,

The way you say my name now,
The smile that says you knew.
The look in your eyes,
Everything reminds me of you.
The starry night sky above,
The storm and then the rainbow.
The phone ringing late at night,

Strangely enough, I CAN RELATE. I'm so sorry. Life has it's brilliant tendencies to spin us around like a tornado gone amiss, only to leave us dizzy and confused, thinking about how we enjoyed the adrenalin rush. I really loved this write, it is incredible how you reach to many levels of the soul, including the mind. Thank you for sharing these intimate thoughts with us. Keep the coals burning my dear. I recently found out the guy I wrote about had his one year anniversary with his new girlfriend and it hurt because when we were together we were a couple for just over a year and he spent the afternoon in bed with her. It just pissed me off and I won't even talk to him or look at him anymore.
