~~ Chiming Bells of Summer~~

Missing image
Chiming gently on the breeze
The bells of summer play,
While the shadows cast upon my floor
Are dancing as they may~

With crystal clear precision
The rainbows move across my wall,
These bursts of captured sunlight
Are dancing, one and all~

Yet the life upon the street below
Continues unawares
Of this dancing crystal paradise
In the house atop the stairs~

So the birds upon the rooftop
Are my only witness
As I languish on the bed
To absorb this state of bliss~

While the chiming bells of summer
Play so softly on the breeze
I would give the riches of the world
For moments such as these~

Susan - this is a subject close to my heart. I love windchimes and suncatchers, crystals, dreamcatchers all sorts of wonderful 'mobiles' that catch the suns rays and my imagination.
I could see me languishing there too as I often do watchint the prisms in the crystals. I really love this poem it, peaceful and serene, quite beautiful.

    perfection

I love wind chimes and rainbows...such surreal beauty in both...beauty that is felt and captured within the soul of their audience...this is perfection, honestly...it really gives the reader a feeling of peace, something I really needed today...bravo...huge hugs, Rowan

During my reading of this poem, I even heard your wind chimes--very reminiscent of the 'good old' lazy summer days when there was little to be concerned about except resting and a cool glass of lemonade. Ah, memories... I can reconjure many of those events of my childhood, and this piece has been rendered so beautifully, I don't even know what to say to express how much I like it. It's one of my new favorites.

    Many blessings,

words do seldom convey the emotionality of sound - but this is soo beautiful and sweet - just like lazy summer afternoons. the words fall into my mind carrying anb image of those ice cream days of my youth with friend Tanya.

There's always something magical about windchimes, like a connection to the spirit world maybe...a beautiful, calming piece Susan. Sometimes we do need those moments of solitude to just listen to the sounds around us, a bird singing, chimes dancing in the breeze...a lovely, soothing write, beautifully expressed!!

The last line really give the poem great purpose, brings so much into the simple pleaure of the sound of a chime in a late afternoon breeze.

    Visually very interesting...Very nice writing...

One of the most beatiful sounds in the world, next to uninhibited laughter of a child, is the sweet tinkling of wind chimes! I adore the sound, the feel and the reflection of them as they do their lyrical dance.

Wonderful sweet write.. I loved it!
    thanks for sharing..

    super excellent+

This flowed like liquid ...every single word , and I could really envision the entire scene , I too savor times like the one you described. Have some prisms in my window , and love watching the sun cast rainbows around the room , as the wind blows the curtains with a light breeze and I can hear the faint tinkling of the chimes
Susan , I hope you are doing well and hanging in there ......keep smiling and writing <-----that part definitely is a great source to deal with all kinds of things....the beauty and the ugliness

This one flowed extremely nice, the picture isnt all that great but the flow of the poem surpasses it all. I felt like i was there with you on a summer morning watching the prisms dance on the wall as the breeze blew the chimes around. Wonderful Susan, just wonderful.
