Guilty Men Throw Stones (Song)

I met you in a corridor
it looked like you were looking for
a fast escape.
A preacher on his bullhorn
was singing a familiar fate.
It seemed as though you were
a million miles away.
We are the same friend,
you and I, we are the same.

But you don't have to be ashamed --

when people condemn
what they don't understand
it tears the world apart.
They don't know what you feel
boy, they don't know where you've been
and they don't know who you are.

I know you've tasted more tragedy
than you ever imagined you'd know.
Oh the irony - the shameless inhumanity
that man can show.
I can't believe it all was meant to go this way;
I can't believe it's supposed to be this way.

But we don't have to be ashamed --

(Chorus)

You know
how hard rain can fall
maybe tomorrow
we'll understand it all.
Oh...

(chorus)

Gave me vibes of The Fray from the bit I listened to the other day. Can't say you're not a musician. ~Justin

I may have to go listen some time. It's my dream to become a singer. When I have the money, I'll have to start buying the neccesary recording equipment!

A really neat song. It was original and I really liked the chorus.

I listened to it... it's a little different sound than you've had. It's awesome--I like the upbeatness of it. (Did I just make up another word?) I recently wrote a piece kind of leaning the way this song does and I wrote it after seeing American History X for the first time. Different things inspire my writing. What inspires you?

I'm glad to see you posting again. I look forward to more!! Thanks for sharing. Take care.
