Why didn't they see,
He did it for them.
His guilt was to love,
for this they condemn?
Still as he died,
they refused to see.
His faith held supreme,
his blood for you and me.
There is no hope,
higher than God's plan.
They scorned and crucified,
the most honorable man.
What more does it take,
for us to believe,
His offers us forgiveness,
if we'd just receive.
He paid the price,
for all of our sins.
His Kingdom is waiting,
for our lives to begin.
He is the light,
when darkness invades.
He's there to guide us,
with the promises He's made.
There is no higher hope,
than to know that one day.
All the pain of this world,
will finally go away.
Let go and let God,
give Him the control.
All we have to lose,
is our mortal soul.

I hope this isn't religious, I intended it to be inspirational and hope filled as well as uplifting.

This is fantastic Jeannie, I find this policically correct, by the authority of God for he is the ultimate power and in the end the final judge. Both uplifting and inspirational, what could lift one more than to know that you will have eternal life and unconditional love

Let go and let God,
give Him the control.
All we have to lose,
is our mortal soul.
I love the back ground and words. For me this is not easy I like to control my life. It not my life to control. I gave it to him. I love this it reminds of a saying let go and let god work. This is wonderful. I truly needed to read this uplifting write. This is wonderful just like you. I have been meaning to read some of your work. Getting better slowly. I hoping that I am crossing that hurdle. This is pure lovely tribute to God. I sometimes wished I had your talent. I love the way you and your husband write. Truly a gifted family.
