seniors watching wistfully
people gliding down slides

shadows of trees are like the
shadows of giants with big bushy hair
bright and hot on the playground
while slides refuse to let people slide
because of the heat
dull at night
like the color gray

kids laughing
people playing
birds chirping

happy...heated like an omelette...
so tired my legs
refuse to move

How many animals are there?
Who is laughing so hard?
Why do birds chirp?
Will I go there often?
