Cherub, I am through with you;
Seattle sees too much of me;
and you,
you toss my love around,
to tremble, trampled upon the ground;
some forgotten flower.
I shall button this shirt up tight
as my heart survives the night;
leaving you,
so pretty a demon,
despised in scarlet rose disguise,
a weed to wither and die;
fertilize your own garden
if need you must - then feed.
Just let me be!

Sorta makes me want to say, "I don't believe in cherubs," just to see if the little demon will expire without wings.

On a more serious note, being disappointed in love may well give one pause to reconsider wearing her heart upon her sleeve to avoid those mis-aimed arrows.

Congratulations on your Bronze trophy!

The poetic devices you have used inside the lines here are really a nice touch of detail
and I enjoyed it very much!
I also like the fact that you thought out of the picture too (e.g. Seattle).
Thank you for entering this contest

Great interpretation of the picture. I see the Seattle landmark in the background. Nice touch.

Oh MY!
Used, taken, realized, and tossed! Not bad. Loved the Seattle reference.
Good luck in this contet. ~Pamela
