The little girl is six
She sees everything, hears everything
You say she's a princess
Yet she has no whipping girl
The marks on her back are proof
She never cries
Never utters a word of defiance
You say she is everything
Yet she feels like nothing
Now she is grown
Eighteen years she has
And everything is screwed up
She can't look at men the same
For all they want is one thing
She feels nothing inside
Cause this pain is not
Of what she felt before
This is the girl that no one sees
For she is sporty and smart
A smile like no other
You will never see
The girl she used to be
The girl that is me...

Aw, I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that. I wish the best for you.
Great job on this poem, it's very emotional.
"Now she is grown
Eighteen years she has
And everything is screwed up
She can't look at men the same
For all they want is one thing
She feels nothing inside
Cause this pain is not
Of what she felt before"
I like that part best. Thank you for entering my contest, Good luck!
