Cannibal Crisis

Strangle them as they sleep,
They're the main coarse of this ritual,
Their blood smeared across the floor,
Drag they're bodies out the door.

Mom and Dad won't know what happened,
They'll never expect the oldest and most innocent,
Your brother and sister aid to your power,
They'll help turn your blood sour.

Put them on a silver platter,
Listen to the disciples laughter,

The feast of the flesh has now begun,

The sacrifice has now been done.

Chanting

Begging

Falling to Mercy

The final killing spree,

30 bodies lay here by dawn,

They'll never catch me,

30 bodies lay here on the lawn.

Morning comes,

Moms broken down and crying,

Her sons bones lie on the kitchen table.

Dads commiting suicide,

He hangs the rope in the barn behind the house.

I watch from a distance,

Laughter fills my mind,

As i tell myself,

They deserve it.

To feel the pain of not existing,

The feel the shame in not caring,

They'll never forget this,

They'll never dismiss this.

Never been quite partial to the thinking of those types, I would only do it if it was me dying or someone else, but yeah this is very eerie and grotesque. Some would do it though, I hate to report...

hmmm.... the way you have written does justice to the theme. The poem is nicely crafted.. the images don't stop coming... just a few grammatical errors.. :
1."Drag they're bodies out the door".. "they're" should be "their"
    2."Moms broken down and crying,

Her sons bones lie on the kitchen table.

    Dads commiting suicide,

He hangs the rope in the barn behind the house.".. introduce an apostrophe like this.. Mom's, Dad's, Son's...
otherwise, the poem itself is excellent.
    Well Done!
Thanks for entering the Raven Qualifier and Good Luck!

    Shit

This is really well done and really descriptive with a lining of emotion behind it. The scariest part is that this could truly happen. The BEST stories of horror are that which happens in every day living. Anyway, amazing imagery, nice piece, good luck in the contest!
