Arms Of Contentment

Missing image
Solitude rests gently in the arms of contentment
Down through the lilac fields into the valley.
Gliding upon wings over shawls of white heather
I'm cajoled, teased by a sweet whispering breeze.
A portrait of serenity dressed in her full glory
Beckons me into a tapestry of rich chameleon hue.
Woven by warm sunbeams and soft april showers
Her radiant beauty entices, inviting me to wander
Over her landscape and to taste mother nature.
I savour the essence and drink her divine perfume
Content with the gift that she delivers with grace.
Then shaded by oak trees with out stretching arms
In allay I settle beneath to laze in the company.
Of the sweet singing skylark who serenades sprightly
With jubilant voice over the glens and the dales.
Now my world is at peace for this one special moment
While solitude rests gently in the arms of contentment.

I can see this through your words. The graphic art is lovely but does in no wise contend with the beauty in verse you have penned here. All the lines are beauteous! What a splendid crafting here poet. This is very beautiful! You have earned a place on the finalist list making my task a bit more strenuous. LOL

Thank you for this entry into my contest. I wish you the best!
