We
poets
hearts bent low
over passion
spill soulful inkings
to resurrect our faith
in cloaked and drawn near friendship
rising out of Gaia’s urgings
sung by forest-deep wolf songs’ pulsing
on landscapes’ lean of love for enemies
What is wept on shores that know each pebble
carves our faces in stone-ground reprieve
that we might be forgiven these
beats of drum and row of oar
that enter Universe
in Apostolic
error and angst
as witness
to dear
flaws

Addendum to Etheree for the Apostles http://allpoetry.com/poem/2171332
Moon
pregnant
with promise
watches over
Superior's gleam
in the gloaming of time
resplendent in blues and tears
The emerald Apostles stand mute
testimony to the warming earth
A howling wolf sings the blue ascension
Troubled waters stir in azure regret
for the poisoned breath of our mother earth
But the lake remembers birchbark
And the knowing people back
when drums knew moon's rhythm
and men knew circles
Apostles wait
for mankind
to see
god

You have such a powerful way with the pen, my friend. Excellent, I loved how you wrote off Rob's write, it was a perfect reflection on his talent.
'dear flaws' sigh..yup.
Beautiful.
