I light this lamp
In your name
Because I love you dearly
You kept me going on and on
When I thought I couldn't.
Like this flame,
You had me shining,
You filled me with an aura,
So bright that I must squint.
I put this lamp to drift in the waters,
So all can see my little flame.
It drifts further and further
Until as I look further
It's just a little glowing dot.
Maybe the drifting flame can die.
From any other disturbance.
The flame I have for you
Glowing in my heart
Can never ever be doused.

Aw, how sweet! I really liked the sentiment of the poem, & how the image was applied to the whole thing... "I put this lamp to drift in the waters, / So all can see my little flame" is nice. It's such a lovely little poem... Nice write!
