Grasping at life every moment he could,
But God wanted him more and more.
Everyone thought he was going to survive.
He just left us way too soon.
Laying there, gasping for air,
The radiation had left him so weak,
But his spirit was powerful,
He struggled on, not knowing where to go.
Then he disappeared, physically in my eyes.
But emotionally and mentally he's still here,
"Danielle, will you ever forget me?"
"Of course not, dad, I love you."
That question I will never forget.
Every moment I think about him,
He was my voice, he was my strength,
Through thick and thin, he was there for me,
And always will be.
Author notes
I've been thinking a lot about my dad lately, and I just wanted to write another poem for him, since I miss him so much.
RIP Dad, I love you.

I picked Option 3. The picture one. I love it to death.
