Installments of Trust

Trust, an investment, grows gradually in diversed fields
It does not come cheaply though respectfully it yields
One must be trust-worthy for dividends to exceed
Still trust it is all so fragile and broken by selfish greed

Many families value it so little amidst their familiar kin
If you sin against a business, they'll not let you do it again
A few build on community trust, but it can be easily broken
As a track-record, of a bank, building on interest not a token

Sadly won't invest you at all, their life is jammed with stock
Only the Good Shepherd cares redeemingly for each, His flock
If we don't develop ways to trust we'll never find love or joy
Trust mirrors, in kind, bringing security on investment's ploy

Author notes

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said:
"No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours...

"For it is mutual trust, even more than mutual interest that holds human associations together. Our friends seldom profit us but they make us feel safe... Marriage is a scheme to accomplish exactly that same end." By H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)

Many of the numerous rules induced in systems reflect the lack or total absence of trust. It is a matter that trickles down from top to bottom (and then back up again), but corrupt governments, companies and organizations don't quite promote and encourage trust to establish and flourish. This world has become so rotten to the core that even inside families trust seems to become a rare property. But like two quotes said, one: trust can only be gained by trusting a man and two: a man who trusts no one cannot be trusted it is a mutual matter between individuals and groups of individuals. These quotes most would deem to be true, yet many find it difficult to apply to a relation with GOD. The spirits who created this sad situation cannot be trusted. Their major aim is to destroy a relation of trust between any two or more spirits. They are the rulers, the bureaucrats, the criminals of this world. Their rejection of trust will cost them dearly, as does their relentless effort to remove trust from this world. Thank you for pointing out yet another frame of mind that is far more important than ruling powers want us to believe. Take care, precious soul,

    Chris

      Thank you my friend

Yes I know that many malign the opposite sex, for instance; as do governments other governments, and anyone in a certain field of professionalism would have a tendency to defame their competitors, and siblings also do this. And from a personal point of view I have a tendency not to trust anyone lest proven otherwise; but the point is- "What hope is there without trust" for without it THERE IS TRULY NO LOVE.

Thanks, so much, for sharing Chris. You are a wise and profound friend, and I appreciate your support.
