Tiger

Among the weeds and yellow foilage,
Hides a gorgeous majestic tiger.
Camoflauged among the plants,
It waits for its meal.
Drinking at a large puddle,
Stands a solitary deer.
Suddenly the tiger leaps and pounces,
Catching what it desired.
After piercing its jugular vein,
The tiger drags it prey away.
Tearing at the game's flesh
Revealing its great big fangs.
The sun shines down the tiger's coat
So beautifully patterned
With orange, white, and black stripes.
Weeks later, enter men
That walk about the jungle.
Quietly they see the tiger
Resting, enjoying sunlight.
The majestic creature's life ends
At the men's stinging bullets.
Later on, they take its fur,
Then throwing away the rest of its body.
The fur was then made into a coat,
In the name of fashion!

Author notes

I wrote this poem because I feel it's bad to hunt majestic creatures like tigers just for their fur.

I hate this as well! The fur belongs on the animal! Grr, I just wanna yell at these people who think they deserve it more than the animal. It is disgusting. Great write. Thanks for entering and good luck.
