Pride goeth before a fall
and oh, there is so far to go
when your wings have been rent asunder.
Light bringer they called me,
of beauteous countenance
and infinite intelligence in His eyes.
Cast out, damned eternal -
longing for the light I once knew,
now finding myself forever in darkness.
I hold the fate of Earth
within these two unworthy hands,
as I send my champions seeking your Salvation.
The Grail! Chalice of truth
and Font of peace,
my Key back into His heavenly graces.
I wish for my place in Heaven, child.
I mourn with every atom of my being.
I hurt in ways a mortal could never understand,
for I am Lucifer - and I am eternally damned.
Author notes
a little flavor of the story of "Von Bek" by Michael Moorcock in here...i hope i even slightly did his genius justice.
also, i found a fitting image for this piece...here's the link http://www.steliart.com/angel_images/fallen-angel.jpg

wow this is a very vivid and beautiful piece - i like it a lot:
Light bringer they called me,
of beauteous countenance
and infinite intelligence in His eyes.
Cast out, damned eternal -
longing for the light I once knew,
now finding myself forever in darkness.
that part was awesome.
