Am I just a toy some thing you play with then put away?
All the time we spent together you throw it all away.
The new toy is so much better so just go on and leave.
Leave me be to sit and here and rot away.
Maybe it would have been better if you had never got me.

    i love it you have great imagedry and i can see and feel the emotions and it is so short it is a great poet that can put so much in so little words...this is a really good poem keep it up

    I like how you used a toy as a metaphor for a relationship gone old. Everyone is always looking for an upgrade. BTW thank you for commenting on my poem "I Live". As always I try to return the favor.

    Ohhhhhhhhhh this is heartbreaking...It hurts when someone just uses you and tosses you away...Things always get better though...I speak from experience...
